Invite people who should help plan
Give invited users access to a shared trip when they need to help change stops and planning details. The trip owner remains able to manage access and permissions.
Use view-only sharing when editing is not needed
Sometimes a friend, family member or travel companion only needs the current itinerary. A view-only shared link can make the trip accessible without giving everyone editing rights.
Refresh shared planning without making the app heavy
RoadTripDesk uses lightweight presence and refresh behaviour for shared trips. Collaborators can see when others are around and refresh the trip, while the system avoids unnecessary constant updates when nobody else is actively working on it.
Collect ideas before they become route stops
A shared bucket list gives the group somewhere to put ideas that are not ready for the final route. Add a place, note and priority, then move the useful ideas into the plan later.
Keep permissions server-side
Sharing controls are enforced by the application, not only by what buttons happen to be visible in the browser. RoadTripDesk is being built so view, edit and owner actions remain distinct as the collaboration features grow.
